Q) Can I call you to discuss our trip?
A) Yes you can call anytime from 10am to 10pm weekdays, evenings, and weekends. If we are unavailable please do leave a message and we will call you back.
Q) Does the price include lap tickets for the Nurburgring Nordschleife?
A) No – each person is different, some people only want to do 2 or 3 laps, whilst others will do many more. You can buy laps as and when you need them.
Q) Apart from the track what else will we get upto over the course of the weekend?
A) Most events are pre-arranged for our groups, drive or ride outs on the twisty roads, track viewing points, sight seeing, evening meals, minibuses to restaurants in the evening, etc. We arrange it all for you.
Q) What if whilst there I want to do my own thing?
A) You are more than welcome to have some time to yourself whilst on our tours. No one is forced to stick to the itinerary however most people like to stay with the group.
Q) Does the trip include meals?
A) On some of our dates, yes - you will always get bed and breakfast and on certain dates 3 course evening meals are included. You can purchase daytime food and beer separately. We will let you know when booking if your dates include evening meals or not.
Q) Is my car or motorcycle insured whilst I’m on the Nurbrurgring?
A) No - 99% of the time your UK insurance will NOT cover you in the event of an accident. However with our tours, our safety record is second to none. BUT, you are ultimately responsible for your own actions. Please make sure you have a credit card with you just in case you are not prepared to listen to our advice!
Q) Do I need Travel insurance?
A) YES. The last thing you want is to get seriously ill in a foreign country or lose cash or valuables whilst out there. You MUST have travel insurance as a condition of travel with us.
Q) Do I need European accident and breakdown insurance?
A) YES. No matter how old or new your car is there is always the chance that it may let you down. You MUST have European breakdown cover as a condition of travel with us. We recommend German ADAC membership which is valid for one year and even covers the UK and recovery from the Nurburgring Nordschleife itself.
Q) Are the rumours true about the costs if you crash on the Nurburgring?
A) YES -Make no mistake about it, if you crash on the Nurburgring you will pay for closures, damage, cleaning up etc and that can run into £10,000s of pounds. Also if your car spills oil on the track which results in an accident you WILL be blamed for the accident. Do make sure your car is in tip top mechanical condition before leaving.
Q) Do you offer a facility to rent cars at the Nurburgring?
A) A) Yes. Please see our RaceCar Rental section or contact us to discuss your requirements
Q) How do we pay for our booking?
A) We accept payment by cheque or direct bank transfer. For organised tours a £200 deposit is required and the balance is payable 4 weeks before departure. For all other services payment is required in full at the time of booking.
Q) Can you arrange just accommodation and ferry crossings if I don’t require an organised tour?
A) Yes we can – we know most of the hotels and guesthouses in the area and can take the hassle out of organising your trip for you. Please contact us with your specific requirements
IMPORTANT - If you are considering booking one of our Organised Tours and coming to the Nurburgring to prove a point to yourself or your mates, we would rather you go with another company.
In over 10 years of tours, The Nurburgring Experience has only had 3 or 4 customers have accidents, none serious and all of them have been able to get home with us. Sometimes their cars or bikes have been left there for repair or repatriation.
